Julia
Julia Morozova-Soto has been studying yoga in the Iyengar tradition for the past 20 years and feels very fortunate to have shared her love of yoga with many students through teaching for the last 17 years. Her mission is to educate students on yoga that starts on the mat and stays with them. With her extensive background and training as an Iyengar Yoga teacher, Julia shares how a functional and personalized approach can change one’s understanding of what yoga is.
Iyengar Yoga is a system of teaching Hatha Yoga developed by Yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar. This method of teaching offers a worldwide, standardized system of instruction for alignment-based asana practice.
Alignment is important because it prevents injury, enhances the benefits of each pose, and creates better structure.
Julia’s classes focus on each student’s particular alignment and use appropriate tools and props to make everyone’s yoga practice best for their body and level.
