Amy

Amy Sawyer has been exploring the joy and beauty of movement since the age of 4, when she began studying classical ballet. After countless hours in the dance studio, as well as years of various aerobics classes and a certification in Pilates, Amy took her first yoga class at a community center in Belfast, Northern Ireland and began a practice that has challenged her physically, mentally and spiritually in ways that she had never before experienced. Amy completed her year-long yoga certification in 2008 through Boundless Yoga in Washington, DC and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012 from Georgia State University. Amy believes that the practice of yoga helps us understand and heal our bodies through movement, breath, and awareness. As an instructor, Amy seeks to guide others in honoring the strength and wisdom of their own bodies.
